Corluka may be joining Luka Modric at Tottenham Hotspurs, pretty poor form on his part if he demands a move after just one season.
VEDRAN CORLUKA last night insisted he still wants to join Tottenham despite Manchester City claiming he was staying.
The Croatia international defender missed City’s friendly win over AC Milan on Saturday to talk to Spurs about an £8million move.
He returned to City on Sunday, though, and the club issued a statement claiming he was happy at Eastlands.
But Corluka’s agent insisted: “Vedran is very unhappy with the events of the last few days. He still wants to go to Tottenham.
“He had a medical and agreed personal terms with them over the weekend.
“Vedran hopes the situation can be resolved soon so he can resume his career at Tottenham.”
Hours earlier, Mark Hughes claimed he had convinced defender Corluka, 22, to stay on at City.
The new manager said: “I am a huge admirer of Vedran.
"He is a top-class player with a bright future and I am delighted that he continues to be a part of our plans.”
