Tourism Minister Bajs (alaways an optimist!) said yesterday that 100.000 Chinese tourists are expecting to come to Croatia this year. Arew they good spenders and what can we offer them (Jeger salami?)?

The original post is not quite correct. Read here. www.profitiraj.hr/novosti/bajs-ukidanjem-viza-imat-cemo-100000-kineskih-turista-godisnje/Basically, Chinese citizens that are already holding a temporary schengen visa for stay in EU will no longer need a visa to enter Croatia if they are arriving here from an EU country, are in a tour group, and have valid travel health insurance. Bajs says he doesn't expect much of an increase in the amount of Chinese tourists this year but thinks in the next few years the numbers could increase to 100 000. Last years numbers were up 19% from the year before.

The Chinese are coming everywhere, new economic wealth, walk around any European city and they form the biggest groups of tourists.

many chinese people are hoping having visa-free chance to travel Croatia someday, and they welcome Croats coming to CHINA! I think you have better chance in Hungary if you where able to stay there for 7 years, as at least you know people and no doubt if your parents worked there then you have contacts to help you get work, and you might even speak Hungarian. Like others have said, right now there is like 300,000 people out of work or close to half the working age withouit a job, and these are qualified people. For you to come here out of the blue and try and get a job will be a miracle, but then miracles or your lucky stars can happen.

anyway, thanks again my parents and i speak hungarian,we've worked here for several years, while i think the salary in hungary is always lower than other countries, most jobs can't offer a gross salary of 200000huf,so the net salary is much low.. i have a friend living in italia,so i asked him on how about going to italia,he said it's hard to find a job,is it same in Croatia?what's more, italian people are not so friendly to foreigners, especially asian..

Croats aren't much different then Italians towards foreigners, and I say foreigners as it hardly matters where you are from. If you’re not Croatian then they feel you are here in Croatia to rob them of their culture, life style and business. Of course most Croats that’s have worked abroad have a much broader understanding and view on foreigners and more positive. They seem to know that most foreigners aren't mega rich and just trying to make a normal living and keep to themselves. But like we all say on this site for people thinking to come live in Croatia, maybe come here for a short visit first to see if you like it (seeing you have not been here). You'll also be able to see how people react to you and if you want to stay and can find a job.
