hi crojoe,
not sure how Cro Times jumped to this headline. What the report actually said was that website traffic for Thompson was 11% up over the previous January across the board, with website view for Croatia up 55% - not sure how that makes Croatia the number one tourist destination for Brits. The largest increase in people looking, perhaps, but that is something entirely different.
cheers Paul

Other then a few other British people I felt we Brits where not fully represented in Croatia. Don't worry, whoever is the editor in cheif of this on-line paper often does not check facts on articles as I have found many errors in their articles.

The story I heard of why Croatians hate the British is because during the Croatian-Serb battle, a whole bunch of Croatians were fleeing across the border to a British controlled post. They stayed in refuge there for a few days, while the British were discussing what to do with them. They finally decided to send them back or kill them, so they were basically marching back across the border to be mowed down and slaughtered by the Serbs. I believe this is why the Croatians hate the British. this is why the Croatians hate the British? That is quite the generalization. Can provide some details or a link to back up this incident?
