While I believe people should get what they deserve, Sanadar has now been given another 2 months in jail because ant-corruption biro thinks he could influence witnesses or abscond. While this might all be true, I think this is pretty poor on the establishment to keep someone locked up till proven guilty or innocent. They should at least put a tag on him, take away his passports, and put him under house arrest (with no visitors). Be he a poor man or a former PM, they shouldn't treat people in this manner. If they don't have proof to hand then they need to get to work and figure it out and not keep someone locked up till they do.

proof - didn't that come in the form of watches? They where just "cheap" gifts. Like when it was his birthday, his kids birthday, his wifes birthday and each MP birthday. Maybe he has a problem with being late, so the thought a watch would be a good "gift".

Do you really think that taking his passport away will do the trick? I know of other's that have had far lesser crimes that were a flight rise not be given bail. House arrest?? Which house would that be?

I agree with Crojoe - why couldn't they just put him under house arrest, take away his passport, put his home under police guard? I don't know how these kinds of things work in Europe, perhaps what's happening is the norm?
