Does anybody know what the UK equivalent of Aris (have I spelt it correctly?) wood is? Google translation says Aris (Croatian) is Aris in english. But nothing on the web.

It's Larch wood.
Quite rot resistant, used a lot for windows, and other exposed wooden structures.

Its also called Aris in English.
