How does someone go about cleaning up land titles.
My grandmothers name is on some land, we know that is has nothing to do with her, due to inheritance laws her name has dropped in, and we would like to transfer the very small percentage to the rightful owner. How can this be done without too much difficulty or cost. Also my dad has land which he is the majority share holder how do we get the small ones off.
There needs to be a simple way so people can get clean titles and the economy can grow. It can't grow if people can't buy and sell.

this is difficult and you are right, it should be easier. you need a property lawyer involved. eventually a post is published for peple to come forward with claims to the land and if no-one does, it can be cleaned.
as with a lot of things, there might be easier options depending who you 'know'.
