I don't think so ! Personally , I'd rather be in Varazdin or Samobor , than in Zagreb , Split or Pula - than again , each to their own ?

Permanently Carol. Croatia has been a great experience but I miss England so much.
And with a $1.50 to the Pound, its perfect timing for us Dollar earners.
Oh, and I've seperated from my partner of 15 years and am going to marry my soul-mate after not seeing her for 24 years. Life is full of surprises.

How long were you in Croatia for Nick?
I think because you are a dual national, you can have the best of both worlds, England and Cro as and when you feel like it. Best arrangement IMO.
Good luck!

polako, I only have British Citizenship. Been in Croatia just over a year, illegally. Never got around to applying for Croatian Citizenship even though I'm sure it would be okay as my dad is a Croat.
Anyway, I will be coming back to Croatia, but a 3 month stay is more than enough.
As I have shared my deepest secret here, thought I'd share my favorite song at the moment. Enjoy "chasing cars" by Snow Patrol.

Joking aside Nick, I've pretty much been in your situation (minus the soul-mate) I still refuse to acknowledge the lovely lady I have been 'dating' for a year as my girlfriend, as commitment is scarier than a Croatian mother in law.
I told her it's like diplomatic status and I will accept it when the timing is right.
You'll miss things about Croatia (even I do) but life moves on... time makes things better... and England is unquestionably a more solid and less stressful place to be if you have bills to pay.
All the best... and welcome home!
