Yepp , through the ( allegedly : still smokey ! ) Chunnel ; we get to attend to a few boringest chores and see a few dear old friends , around London and the home counties ; any suggestions , e.g. of things to do , items to get etc ? cheers , R.

In Italy, near Verona you can find the factory of BAULI, makers of the panetone, can highly recommend it. While passing through Italy pick up some Frizzante or Prosecco, perfect for the holidays.
Have a good trip.

you could go see villa v fulham on 29th nov and then follow it up with villa v msk zilina on the 4th december, apart from that not a lot else to do. but in the meantime here is your basic itinery Day 1 1st. have a disgusting pint of boiling milk / coffee. then throw it away in disgust. 2nd. pint of guiness and stand outside in the rain smoking your 6 pound fags, 3rd. grab a bag of chips on the way to the bus stop, 4th. get the bus and have 3 cctv watch you as you sit there 5 th. back home, taking care not to get mugged on the way, put the tv on and watch a repeat of a classic 80s tv programme,
Day 2. * dont forget your brolly * 1st. get in the car, queue in traffic for 1 hour then arrive at your local corner shop , which is now called tesco superstore, and buy a nice white loaf of spongy tasteless bread, baked beans and then Queue again in traffic, after half an hour think sod it i get a greasy spoon, pay 5 pounds for an all day breakfast. (hmmm, dosent get beter than this ) 2nd, go and visit friends and relatives and hear how awfull there lives are, how depressed they are, how little money they havem how they worried about loosing there job any day, listen to all the problems that the uk has, start realising !!!!!! 3rd. time for food again, has to be chinese or curry.... Enjoy sure bliss.. 4th back to the house as you now getting low on cash and the cash machine dosent work due to vandalism, and has taken your card. 5. hit the bottle, any bottle as long as the contents are flamable, but not the vodka and milk, we all tried it ,it just dosent work. 6th, more talking with friends, more woe, but now funny ,thanks to the alcohol.
3rd day
As much as you want to see the villa game, and i know secretly you do, you wake up and think Sod this im off back to Croatia. 3 days is the maximum for any sain person to be in the Uk..book the next available flight and get the hell out of dodge,.

I'll be joining the exodus in a couple of weeks for my first (annual) trip to MOT the car. Timetable is.... - Drive accross wintry Europe but not looking for a motel, sleeping bag in the back will do + flask of something hot.
- Survive the inevitable force 8 on the ferry to Dover
- Visit friends and relatives, talk for a few hours before running out of new stuff to say.
- Get the car MOT'd, buy car tax (ouch) plus new tyres (cheaper there)
- Try to avoid chavs, traffic jams, car thieves and others whilst going to see Leyton Orient.
- Apply for CRB in local nick
- Stock up on PG tips, Marmite, cooking oil aerosols
- Play wth old band in a pub or two
- Survive the inevitable force 8 on the ferry to Dunquerque
- Drive accross wintry Europe but not looking for a motel, sleeping bag in the back will do + flask of something hot.
- Get a load of flak at the border entering Croatia.
This trip will be described by some as a "holiday". Hmmmm!

Well , out of where I live , it's less than 2 relaxed 130km/h hours to Calais , most of it on excellent free Belgo-M-way ( Autoroutes , they call them here and in La Belle F. ); - the Chunnel shuttle has long been booked & paid for , God help us if anything goes wrong with that ? ( getting into and out of U.K. can be really scary , sometimes ) - U.K. shopping : aspirins , antacids , mint sauce , all-bran , latest Dido-Cd perhaps ?... ...not that we can't get it all here anytime , but ( once we are there , anyway ) some prices are just so much better in England nowadays , with the crippled pound... - and then , there's also the odd sentimental spot to visit , or walk by , at least...

Might want to chck on that unless you are aplying again outside of HR for your next visa. Surprised no-one has mentioned the baked beans trip! Good luck with the O's - not doing too well right now!

haha. i got a good deal on 10 kg packets of brickets. they burn surprisingly long and hotter than wood. we go through about 2 packets a day. i do throw in a couple of bits of wood as well, but hardly anything. the brickets burn hot, heats much better than normal wood. they are like processed compressed chipboard leftover bits of wood, shaped like cylinders.
