If I have ever seen a dismal play of the game we call football, then the England team did just that. It got so bad I had to switch the TV channel and watch "Out of Africa". What's with passing the ball back to the keeper over 15 times, back tracking from the Algeria goal area to the England side constantly, and 10 corners with nothing to show for, and the constant ping pong play amongst the players? Both the Americans and the Algerians played attacking games (and are rated the underdogs), while the English just kicked the ball around. Wake up England team, time to smell the African coffee, and play as if you had nothing to loose (other then reputation and big bucks), or as if it was your last match of your life. Capello, get all your young players of their rear ends and bench the big names, the older dudes who can't muster the strength to run the field. Shock us, do something radical man! It was so bad to watch that I started rooting for Algeria to score, just because they acted like they wanted to win.

You watch, now that they have to beat Slovenia to stay in the competition, they will probably get their act together and play some real football.
And I hear that Rooney was booing back at the crowd/English supporters as he left the pitch!!!
What does he expect after two such poor performances......love and kisses!

Pathetic no-hopers , grossly overrated , as is usually the case with anything U.K , cars , tennis , food , beer , medicine , banking , insurance , U-name-it ( all media's fault ? )

I've never said "what a load of rubbish" so many times in 90mins before. Best comment had to be, "that was like watching the FA Vase."

And now we hear that John Terry and his motley band have demanded a meeting with Fabio.......to discuss tactics. ;D
Oh so its obviously all the managers fault then.......
Ive seen better football played on Hackney marshes, by overweight, fag smoking blokes with a hangover on a Sunday morning.

good luck madgolfer with getting the golf clubs out and playing the game in this weather. Can't remember a June quite like this for some time. Reminds me of lovely England.

The England football team visited an orphanage in Soweto today. "It was great to be able to put a smile on the faces of people without hope," said Mbutto, aged six.

After which , SethEffrika ( who NeverEver should have been given the privilege of hosting The World Cup , were it not for certain manipulative madmen like Blatter and FIFA ) got themselves cancelled out of this one's further competition alltogether , mate...

OK! Now, thats what I call football - England verses Slovenia (sure glad I'm not planning any trips across the border in the next few days). They now look like a team that wants to win, although for a while Slovenia did a good job at keeping them at bay. Lets just hope they keep it up, as more often then not England waver at the last moment in big matchs.
