It is not about what Draza did in 2WW but what he represents today...every bit about "big serbia" is related to him...serbia was never big or will ever be...by the way I've never seen a street named by Budak...maybe someone can enlighten me... Tatoo = NO PLAY Get Tatoo removed= PLAY

Shannon, Slight correction there, Mihajlovic fought with the allies against the fascists in WW2. Sure there were slaughters on both sides. It's just funny that in Croatia there are roads named after members of the Ustasa regime (Mile Budak for example). So why dont they get their own house in order before correcting others..... That is a flat out lie!!!!

"That is a flat out lie!!!"
Loveu2, if you don't live in Croatia, how do you know this is a lie?

The question "slightly ironic" asks doesn't sound stupid to me, actually. Middle of the road sounds like he/she knows that some streets in Croatia are named after members of the regime, while LoveU2 (who does not live in Croatia) claims it is a lie.
Rather than spout this kind of stupid response (douting "slightly ironic's intelligence) why don't you ask MIddle of the road to clarify where these supposed streets are? Surely someone who lives in a country has much more intimate knowledge than someone who doesn't. And you can't see every single street name, of every tiny street, of every tiny village, from the internet. There is actually not much info about Croat villages on the net, those of us who do live here often regret that we cannot find much info, outside of history, on the net.

Since checking in 10 minutes ago about 6 posts have disappeared from about 5 different people.
I think that Anna should start 1 thread that is just for whatever you want to say... people can cuss, say nasty things to each other, whatever goes! If someone does not like cussing or certain types of debating don't go to that thread.
No one can complain because it will be a site for adults and Anna cannot be responsible for the content on this thread. So noboby will be offended because they don't have to go to this TOPIC (thread)!
The only rules should be: No death threats, No .,.,.,.,.,.,.ography!
And let people post! It would be alot less energy for you, Anna. Plus alot of people are going to stop coming here when you start taking out 5 or 6 post at a time because you don't like the contents.
I think it will work! It will keep people like EMIZ, TipRat, LoveU2 and the many others that want to reply in a way that you may find offensive, it keeps people coming to the posts. It keeps the offensive stuff to one post and other posts are more open to discussion rather than fighting and name calling.
Reasonable way to get your free speech! ;D

nothing wrong with what Anna is doing...
if you dont like the fact that Anna removes or edits thread, go to a forum where you can.
i think what she is trying to accomplish is keeping this forum so people can discuss things in civil matter and at the same time respecting the freedom of speech.
bravo Anna.

I guess you can't read!!!!!! I never said Anna is doing a bad job!!!! I said it would be easier for her if she had 1 thread that people could go to and say whatever they want. Then that would keep the civil conversations going on all the other threads. Plus how do you know what Anna is removing. Maybe Anna dislikes certain people and is removing their posts, do you know that? No, you don't know, unless you are Anna or a very close friend!!! I think you are neither! Plus it is very difficult to determine what should be FREE SPEECH, when COURTS around the WORLD can't even get it straightened out!!!! One little Anna is going to determine what is Free Speech, when the world courts can't!!! LOL Anyway, it is not ANNA that determines what can be said on this Forum.....Final Determination is done by the rules of PRO BOARDS!!!! part of pro boards rules:3. I don't think that it would be nice if some basket ball player came into a Bball court in Israel with a swaztika tattooed to his arm.
or if a white basket ball player went to a black country with White power tatooed...
It is disrespectful to do that to your body a temple of Christ. It is disresptful to who ever has to look at it. It is a spit in the face to Croatians.... Serbs would not be to happy if Croat basket ball player walks into Serb court and has big U on his shirt or tatatooed to his body....Serbs we be outraged.
So mr. serb don't act like you are better then everyone else either.
Show respect for others. Cover the tat or don't play!

milan gurovic is such a great basketball player he is so fit and incredibly fun to watch. just because you are jealous that he is playing for serbia and montenegro you cant take the fact that he is not a player in the croat team.

Late onto it, but, for some reason this is going nowhere. Nationalism is not always positive, or negative. Slapping down on Serbs and telling them they did bad, and then making a fuss over symbols, well, maybe loveU2 should have a glance or three around the country she's moving to, and see the growing undercurrent of discontent that sees the ustasche symbol daubed on everything from bus shelters to stadium fencing. The cetniks were the best buddies of the Allies when it was necessary, but when it suited, good old mass murdering Tito became the golden haired boy. Any parallels there with a certain middle eastern, recently deposed and awaiting execution, oops, trial, dictator? As for the tattoo, a player possessing a swastika on his or her arm in a major league anywhere in the world would be ostracised, but not all athletes have the brains to know better.
