hmmm, just noticed that my posts have been edited. If you read the past ones , a*#h#*e has been replaced with 'not a very nice person' (hardly a good substitute) and for some reason the admin seems to consider the scientific term for a mans genetalia to be a rude word and has replaced it with 'thingy'. There is nothing wrong or rude about the word thingy thingy thingy thingy thingy thingy and if thats been changed the word sounded a bit like pea nest. Sorry about not putting in the #* in a ol 1 though, I just thought thats what this thread was for

Why do croatians swear so much? I've never heard of any other people swearing as much as them. They'll even swear at the Virgin Mary and the Blood of Jesus and yet still remain pious church goers. I always found that strange. Still sounds funny though. ;D

looks like my thread regarding the word for a mans sexual organ that sounds like pea nest got removed. I thinks it's a legitimate issue. How far does sensorship go? It's a technical term, and the only non offensive word I know for that particular part of a mans body. Does any body else find it a rude, bad, dirty word? I tried to see if girl thingy (vaj eye na)got changed too, but didn't get the chance to see. Admin. perhaps you can answer my question. I find it strange you remove these words, especially when I saw you allowed a link on this site that lead to a site with pictures of naked women.

yes I know it's childish, but that's how i retain my youthful good looks, and besides I'm bored today as my wife is having a business meeting in the lounge room and there's nothing on tv. But I see that breast has stayed for now, that's something. I cant write pea nes but when I write c*#k instantly people know what word that is anyway right?

Zagreb girl, no I'm not 5. Look what thread you are in. This is a place where we can have a bit of fun and attempt to lure that kind of language out of the more serious threads. It's a legitimate sensorship issue. Swearing is something that is very popular in croatia and I'm convinced that even you yourself probably say things like jebiga and jebenti sunce everyday, probably more than I do. How about giving your response another try and come up with something a bit better than 'are you 5'

I do not swear; swearing is for brick layers.
If you wish to swear do so, but why make such a big deal, about not being able to say such a word? Stp crying censorship it's just a silly website. Anyway bye bye.

i dont swear much in croatian unfortunately. cos swearing actually helps you in croatia in so many ways. here are some rants and insults for this thread. croats are yugoslavs , i mean theres no escaping the fact , we speak a slav language and we are located to the south of other slav countries. italians cant stand croatians cos they cant get over the fact that a relatively backward bunch of people have ended up with the nicest part of the ancient roman empire . croats didnt have any form of written language before the 8th century!! the sarcophagus belonging to the croatian "queen jelena" is very iffy. looks fake. croatians live in the balkans , so we are a balkan people. and what is wrong with that ? the whole world looks at the balkans as the cradle of civilization in europe and yet croats are ashamed to be called balkan people??!?!if croats came from iran as is tought in schools in croatia...wouldnt croats have had a language that was iranian ? persian? they would have atleast had rich cultural and traditional ties with asia? atleast a written language? iran is afterall the place where language began. croats have an identity problem. just look at the croats outside of croatia? they dont know if they should be ustashe , headbangers, partizani, yugo profesors or doctor types, italian sympathisers from the istra region or croat istrians with a yugo twist ,some like tito and some like pavelic .what food is original to croatia ? sarma ? no...its turkish. njoki?...no its italian. francuska salata ? french. baklava ? turkish ,greek. cevapi? no..turkish kofte . because croats have the name marco in croatia and the surname polo means half in croatian, this does not mean that marco polo was croatian. are "klape" original to croatia as many croats claim? recently croats have been braging about their domestic produce that isnt genetically modified. the only reason its not gm is cos croatia is technologically behind western countries. take corruption into consideration and you can easily come to the conclusion that croats would be the largest producers of gm food in the world if they knew how to do it. architects in croatia are an absolute ripp off. i suggest that architects in australia learn croatian even if it is impossible to figure out the logic of the difference between the types of the letter c and move to croatia and open shop at the risk of ending up in an insanity ward (croat architects will stop you from opening shop cos you know how to draw a circle and other intricate shapes as opposed to just a box) . you will make more in a year than you do in 50 in australia. you will thank me for this advice one day.. i think that ancient solin near split hasnt been dug up by archaeologists , eventhough it could be the most major archaeological site with enormous tourist potential on the eastern side of the adriatic because...tour guides will have the job of telling tourists how this once civilised roman, hellenic, illyrian metropolis was devastated by barbarians . and tourists will ofcourse come to this equation croats=barbarians=destruction??? . when tourists come to croatia only a very small number bother to check out croatian cultural events , they dont value them , they come here because croatia is " the medittaraenean as it once was" thanks to its technological stagnation . this is not a bad thing. just that the eu want croatia now more than croats want them and croats are still bending over backwards to satisfy the laughing western europeans , so that they can get into the eu thats going to "fix" croatias economic problems.haha. the new freeway from zagreb to split is so expensive that tourists will use it once and never again ,the old routes to the south will be flooded with traffic and the new freeway will be free to use by the rich and famous , including croatias political"elite" .there is one petrol station between split and makarska,(on a 50km stretch of road ) it is located in omis. it was awarded best petrol station in croatia by ina. why? cos people driving to makarska in summer rock up to the station in omis with an empty fuel tank only to see that there are a thousand cars waiting to fill up and the station is out of petrol and waiting for a truck to come refill , in the middle of the day!! peak tourist season. croatians cannot import a car to croatia unless it is newer than 7 years , and croatias cars have to pass an eco test so that they can be registered , often impossible . this must be beacuse of croatias high employment rate , fantastic earnings, foreign surpluss and young population? its nice to see that people in croatia have a government that helps them move foreward in life, that cares for thier well being instead of trying to disable them and ripp off an already struggling , tired and humiliated population. that helps them achieve their financial goals in life . a government that is open to new ideas , to new investment. it is so easy to open a successfull business in croatia thnks to croatias fantastic political and economic reforms. aahhhh.

good rant but i think your wrong about the slavic origin part. there is alot of evidence that croats are illyrian and were later slavicized.
anyways...im sorry your not doing well over there. why did it take you 8 years to figure out to do something na crno?? are you of croatian heritage? why did you martyr yourself if everyone around you was doing things on the side. if they weren't then your in the same boat with the majority. im sorry it sucks for you... i think alot of your anger is deserved but some of it is misplaced but hey, this is the rant rave and insult thread. jebim ti mater(just kidding dude...its an insult thread)

Where did you pick up this nonsense? Illyrian?!?! Like albanian population??
Amigo; analysis of the genetic material has been done several years ago on the representative samples of croatian popultation. One of the authors of this analysis was Dragan Primorac, present minister for High Education in croatian government (he is the most miserable minister in the government but this is beyond the point).
The results of the screening are - in general lines as follows: -slavic markers in croatian population are not common. They are more prominenet only in the population living in Slavonia. This can be explained with the fact that Slavs never really ventured across bosnian mountains. Coastal population and especially population on islands has very strong markers from iranian and afghan areas (not present day but it can be traced through history) and also from MIddle East. This is more than obvious for anybody who ever cared to look at the face of an average peasant on the back of mountains along the Adriatic. I have relatives there who are unrecognizable from any afghan peasant (only a bit better off!) It has alo been confirmed that coastal population and islanders arrived to these areas more than 6000 years ago. Hence, Slavic origins of Croats are actually miserably weak.
But the most funny thing that came out of this screeining was that Serbs have even less Slavic markers than Croats! So much about Slavic uniti and similar BS....

if croats came from iran , there would be something, anything, originating from iran still in croatia. when the croats came to croatia in the 7th century , they must have been horrors, to have displaced the entire illyrian , roman and hellenic population. its obvious. absolute horrors.ok maybe croats did mix with some of the population already here , but it must have been very small cos there is nothing left of the language or customs of the original people. the people alreday in croatia must have poohd their skirts at the sight of croats. if croats came from iran, they would have spoken a different language and not croatian in the 7th century. iranian artifacts, anything .i mean, who slavisized who? the croats spoke a slav language even back then when they 1st came here. they didnt speak an iranian language , as can be shown by that stone slab with glagol writing on it from the 8th! century. there is no way that an iranian people could not have had a written language before the 8th century ad. absolutely no way. somehow i dont think that iranian kings would have been called "trpimir" "domagoj" or "zvonimir " zvonimir by the way cursed the croatian people probably because they behaved back then exactly as they do today. and another thing, every race in europe can trace their origins to asia if you go back to the jurrassic period. haha. take todays croats for example, after all this time the mentality still remains. croatia cant fall back on its history , even today it doesnt have a defined , formed identity. croatian nationalism is something croats fall back on cos they have nothing else culturally original to croatia to kling to besides tito haha . anyone who whole heartedly and with pride and loyalty becomes a croatian nationalist will eventually dicover that its all a wicked front to use you by the ones who know you are just brainwashed. not unlike a pack of hooligans at a soccer match. same thing. the leader is just looking at how he can sell you the soccer club paraphenalia , while the rest of you chant like stupes , and whole heartedly believe in something thats there to take money from you and make someone else rich. amazing. anyway... getting back to identitiy. croats have recently become aware of this, so now croatias "thinkers" have thought up the idea to turn croatia into a "brend" hahahah. in other words a "brand" its the newest croatian word. its taken croatia by storm . they have to think up croatian products that can be instantly identifieable with croatia. like ferrari is to italy , souvlaki and democracy to greece, bull fighting to spain, ugly cars from france, and so on. dont know , its gonna be pretty hard , cos croatia is pretty far behind the competition. thanks to the politics and people of croatia who are jelous of eachother to such an extent that they dont let oneanother go foreward with new ideas or anything. why the hell is it so difficult to realise ideas in croatia? why are there still young people leaving croatia? why is croatia ruled by people who come up with the word"brend" haha .eventhough croatia has a word for that already , a croatian word. half the daily newspaper is full of croatianised english words. its becoming ridiculous. it is time for croatia to find its roots. to develop a real identity , to start making a real history all on its own so that future generations can say they are croats and know what it means to be a croat. but instead , our politicians are taking us into the eu. what about croatias domestic problems? hello. unemployment? corrruption? unions? the economy? by the way, i think that croatias is being used mercilessly even now by foreigners who have bought banks and telephone companies , cos they know that croatia as it is economically corrupted, is a gold mine that isnt going to last . going into the eu will save croatia from economic collapse and corruption , but it will not make me feel anything closer to being a croat , or even knowing what that is. and i will still have to work till im 80 to buy property that some foreigner can earn in a few years. we will just sit and watch while the country, unpolluted , "the meditteranean as it once was" becomes foreign property. no i didnt even think of working on the black . it never occured to me. i didnt believe that it was that widespread, but it is huge. monkey see , monkey do. croatias politicians being the latter. and yeah. they are monkeys .
