Haven't been, but from what I've seen on tv, it looks to be a place that has waitresses with skimpy clothing and big breasts. Not sure how that reflects on the food, but I think they serve Big american style burgers, steaks, and ribs. In switzerland the same franchise is a fairly decent family restaurant without the under dressed waitresses, and the food is pretty good if you're into that kind of thing. If you end up going, let us know how it turned out.

Looks like Ilica 1 will finally undergo renovation next year. There should be a bar & restaurant on top of the 16-story building. It will be worth checking out for the views over the city centre alone.

Hi Gav, and others? Dunno where it is - apart from somewhere near Vukovarska in Zagreb , A bloke (Kresimir) who's in the band, who I've never met, is going to send me a map. It's only an hour away from me down the toll highway from Varazdin so it's sort of local. I hope I can park somewhere. Got your PM, I'll call tomorrow unless, like me, you're an owl - opposed to a lark! It'll be good to make a bunch of us, you know we're all weerdo's dont cha? ;D

De gustibus non est disputandum, so mea culpa in advance, but... Balkan music (does that mean turbo folk? ... I don't know who that Rocky Rambo is) and American bluegrass? Are you guys for real? ;D

You've never heard of Rambo Amadeus ? Well, he is Serbian I guess. Definiately not turbo folk. More Jazz Funk Rock.He does take the piss out of turbo folk in a couple of songs though. Boban Markovic Orchestra is a 'gypsy' brass band playing the type of music you may here in an Emir Kusturica movie. Apparently you should only drink Rakija before during and after the concert ! American Blue grass, well it's not the type of thing I generaly listen to, but get a few Velebitskos in me and I love the Banjo(Patterson?) Come along, bring a friend, face the faceless, do some square dancing !

That's the spirit! I've just googled (OOooooer!) and it seems to start at 21:00. it's on Paromlinska, just behind the National University Library. I'll probably be there earlier than that in order to find the place and then find a parking spot. 54, widest parting, naocale....thingyney accent. What the hell eh? I don't believe it! I can't describe my self as a c ockney!

Yep, that's the guy. I saw him in Varazdin last year and he and his band were awsome, even though a lot of the lyrics went over my head. He throws some english in every now and then though. Funny how the auto edit made ribarics' c.o.c.k.ney accent into a thingyney accent.
