Justin Wilson
I note that I still have not received a reply from you following my suggestion that we meet up when you are next in the area.
You obviously have access to Chris Duncalf's private emails and seem to know a lot about the workings of the estate agency business, so I would be very pleased to meet you.
You also seem to be very familiar with our website, but omitted to mention that it is a direct link to the Orebic Club which people can choose to view. They do not have to go through us and we would be happy to put other links to other legitimate agents in the area at no charge to them. This will allow other potential buyers to see that there is a choice, something we were never made aware of when we were looking to buy here. In fact, we were explicitly told by Chris Duncalf not to make contact with the Orebic Beach Club/Real Estate Dalmatia.
How naieve we were and if all we achieve by speaking out on this Forum is for other people to learn from our own mistakes then we are happy.

Chris Duncalf helped me to buy a house on the Peljesac, I can highly recommend him. I also used the Cancars for my building work, my wife and I are very happy with the work they did for us. Tim e For Tim E. Where do you live on the Peljesac? If you were so pleased with the work that your builders did, and that Chris Duncalf did, why don't you help them both by letting potential buyers come and see the work, and have a chat to them, and by so doing, will give some brownie points to both parties who badly need them! Having read the whole of this soap opera, Karen - for what its worth, I also believe that Justin Wilson is just another pseudonym. If Chris Duncalf is a sole trader, then why is he showing his e-mails concerning clients to other people. This one sure smells of fish!!

As a post-script to my original messages, since I spoke out about our experiences with the builder and our agent here in the Peljesac, we have had two separate visits from the Croatian Authorities. Both acting on tip-offs!
Obviously some people cannot understand that others live honestly, so when we had the visits, and being able to produce the correct documents, we were treated extremely well and found them to be most helpful.
I found it very interesting that the Tourist Inspector produced a COLOUR copy of our website which was sent to her. There are not many colour printers owned by people where we live, but we do know who owns one!!!
This is a warning to others who are looking at buying property here to rent. Make sure you act accordingly and seek advice from the local police or the Authorities to gain the correct documents and to ensure that you get the same support from them as we did when a complaint ("TIP OFF") is made against you.
We still love it here and our experience with the authorities has strengthened our resolve to continue to pursue our dream of living and working in this beautiful country.

What exactly are the correct documents I need to rent out my property?

You guys with the problems might be interested in the following link to a channel 4 programe being made on this subject. They are looking for people with horror stories to tell about their exeriences with moving to Croatia, agents, builders etc. Try www.channel4.com/housetrappedinthesun or email Sarah Williams (Reasearcher with Ricochet South) direct with your experiences.
