Three Lions, just curious, who decides what method of economy to pursue, it it you? A country, any country should utilize whatever methods are best suited to its population and way of life.

No. There's too many stone heads in Croatia and I like knocking them down, its my mission. Don't try to runaway.
A Croatian Architect told me yesterday that the reason why Croatia does not want to be in the EU is because people will find out how corrupt Croatia really is.
When you think about it, maybe it is the EU which is having second thoughts.

The only type of workable economy is the free market, backed by a proper liberal democracy.

If it can be effectively integrated into the local economy then yes I would agree. What are your thoughts about US influence on the EUs decision?

Shouldn't Gotovina have given himself up?
Isn't that the mark of a true political icon, (as he appears to be portrayed by the majority of Croatians).....to put his country first, rather than protect his own personal gain & freedom, to the detriment of his fellow Croats?

Old Guest you are truely stoned. Sorry US foreign policy at the moment is getting beyond me, may be it is getting beyond them. I'm sure someone has a theory on whether the US wants Croatia in or out of the EU?

I think you only way for you to find this out is by asking him personaly. You can even make good money out of it. So ... unlike majority of Croatians - get on business.

Gotovina should give himself up, it is the mark of a true spirit to face your accusers and spit in their face. What is he doing sitting in some comfortable hideout watching the Champions League?

Three lions-Personal insults such as yours to Old guest only detract from whatever point you were trying to make, if you were in fact trying to make a point.

Old guest look at the national companies, they are a disgrace, Ina is the most pathetic company I have ever come across.
They have offices dotted all over the places, when the Zagreb-Split highway was built; Ina was asked which locations they would like before other companies, this is illegal but I know for a fact it happened, I was involved in the bidding.
Ina is all that is wrong with Croatia, cheating heavy handed policies, terrible service, yet they remain number one because of their artificial help. Old guest you strike me as something of a sot. Those ideals are why Croatia is in such a state. Croatia should privatise these flogging wasteful companies, Ina is already on its way to being owned by mol anyway.

Hungarian company owns it for 3 years.

No; it is a national company and mol has about a 20% stake.

I can be truely more offensive. Anyway the point being I find Croatia a very frustrating place. It seems to me you've got both feet planted firmly in the past.
