I find it incredibly pathetic that EMIZ resorts to such personal attacks, only you speak the truth? You speak nothing more than condescending drivel.

What personal attack? Have you forgot to take your pills? Perhaps you should take a rest in a dark room, dear, bless you. Peace be with you.

Old guest I am sure what you have to say is very interesting but by the time it is written in English it doesn't often make any sense. Then okay ... I am leaving you in peace. Goodbye

So no one has any theories on whether the US wants Croatia in the EU then? At a guess I would say probably not considering as it does not want its largest trading bloc competitor to get any larger. I always thought that Gotovina had close links to the US military as at the time of Operation Storm the US was giving Croatia much technical and intellegience advice.
Also its not that Croatia cannot find him, but that they have made absolutely no effort to find him. There is a difference.

Of course the uk couldn't care less about Gotovina; it is all games, and the big test is Bosnia. The point is if you can't even get past this smaller issue, you have no chance when the bigger issues, corruption, economy and ultimately Bosnia need to be addressed. I want Croatian to join the EU, but I understand why many British politicians don’t; many economic migrants will leave Croatia for the Uk, and we can talk about how much Croats hate the UK; it will happen, also the UK will be one of the few countries paying for Croatia in its early years. As for the politicians, they don't want the EU; that is why they won’t hand Gotovina over, they are making far too much money now stealing from the Croatian people. They just say whatever the people want to hear, but actually do nothing, this keeps them in their positions of ultimate power and abuse for longer. I think where you and I differ is that you believe Gotovina is still in croatia, where I do not. If not oversees, he's probably in hercegovina out of Croatia's jurisdiction. The whole of the western world can't even find Bin Laden and they expect little croatia to locate Gotovina among the mountains. Its a joke. As for Croatians seeking jobs in the UK, I think that is just the usual anti-slav fear mongering in the west. Croatia has a tiny population to begin with and even if they were to work abroad they would go to their usual places like Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where there is already a sizeable community and good networking opportunities. Fear of a wave of croatians stealing jobs away from the brits is just a smokescreen. The real reason the UK and France don't want croatia to join is because they are close economically and socially to Germany. They are afraid they will fall under the German sphere of influence and upset the balance in the EU. That's why they want serbia to go in with them at the same time, because serbia is closer to the UK and France and would balance things out. As for croatian politicians, of course some don't want the EU, many UK politicians didn't want it either. But obviously some do otherwise they wouldn't have pushed for entry into the EU. With EU support below 50% now, it would be incredibly easy for them to say forget the EU. Yet they do not.

A lot of Croats don't like the Germans and a lot of Brits don't like the Serbs. Messes up your theory don't it.

A lot of Croats don't like the Germans and a lot of Brits don't like the Serbs. Messes up your theory don't it. Not really, I was generally speaking. Croatia is much closer economically and socially to the german world. They are still thankfull for the quick recognition Germany gave Croatian independence where everyone else dragged their feet. Alot of Brits don't like the serbs but they are usually people who don't matter much in the political world. The ones with influence are definitely on their side. Aren't the royals still friends with the serbian royal family residing in London?

Oh those lovely Germans, my wifes grandmother remembers when they came to her village and machine gunned everyone.
and as for the serbian royal family, they don't have a throne to sit on, do they?
oh but I'm only speaking generally.

Look; it is quite simple mi6 and mi5 could easily find him, there is no doubt about it. You're missing the point; this is a test of Croatia's willingness and ability to conform. If Croatia will not hand him over; then why should the EU trust them? That is they angle the EU is taking; the recourses and network countries have is immense; if Croatia really wanted to conform they would have handed Gotovina over. ooh yes. thats why mr Mocktown in Serbia eneded the way he did.Even French Secret service is looking for Gotovina, but no luck yet. this is not games EMIZ as you imagine. your life is a bliss.please stick to import export and go rant how all is bad in Croatia.

Regarding the US, they are far more interested in Turkey due to their geographic location than Croatia.
Regarding UK people not liking Serbs or Croats, I would tend to think that the 'man on the street' wouldn't have a clue what the difference was, it simply does not register on a list of priorities. I've yet to see this Gotovina story make the national TV or Radio news in either Ireland or the UK, so it's important to get in context, as regards their position.
With a population of 4.5million (1/3 the size of London)..it's hardly going to pose a immigration thereat to the UK either, I'd say those who do wish to emigrate would target Germany and Italy before the UK due to cultural and geographic reasons, so I don't think that is really an issue either.
I would doubt that Gotovina is in Croatia, but I also doubt very much that his exact location is not known either by senior Croatian politicians...only last week Mesis said " he will be found by March 17th". I personally actually think that Gotovina has probably already agreed to hand himself in (to Mesis) but the game of poker requires protecting your strong hand whilst you ensure that you get the highest pay off (talks start).
From what I've read on Gotovina, and history in Ireland, I don't think he would jeopardise Croatia's future (after all he fought for it) for personal gain or freedom. I think he will face the charges in The Hague, worst case scenario do a few years in jail.....(is he a free man now?)
He is a nationalist and a pragmatist.
p.s ... March 17th is Paddy's Day !!!
